Fashion event for homeless children

The Valenti Foundation is to host a spectacular event to benefit homeless and foster children in San Diego County, USA to raise money for 'A Children's Village' in San Diego's East County, which will be a new home for more than 200 homeless children.

A fashion show by world-renowned designer Valentino will be held on the grounds of the Valenti Estate and Saddle Club on 12 April 2008, organised by Valenti - a 501(c) 3, non-profit organisation. The grounds will be transformed into an elegant spring night of entertainment, featuring legendary rock headliner Chubby Checker, a collection of celebrities, culinary delights, mystical music, live and silent auction and the latest fashion from Italy.

'This event will be like no other. It's going to be a night to remember,' says Irene Valenti, President, CEO and founder of Valenti International. 'Valenti International is opening its doors to the public for the first time in its history to benefit needy children here at home. Designer Valentino will make this a once in a lifetime showcase of fashion. Valenti will hopefully make this an annual event for the children.'

Help neglected children
A Children's Village will be located at the Flying A Ranch - a 425-acre, pastoral setting surrounded by rolling hills and sweeping mountain views in beautiful San Diego County. Currently under development, the ranch will serve as home for children who are no longer able to live at home. It is a place where neglected children can discover a world of sunrises and have room to play while receiving the guidance and caring they need to flourish.

The Valenti Foundation has a similar mission statement. It is dedicated to helping the most needy and the most vulnerable of our society; the Valenti foundation focuses its efforts towards improving the lives of the very young and the very old and to enhance the quality of life for children and the elderly throughout San Diego County.
